Hartfield Doctors Surgery

Telephoning the Doctor
Your doctor will usually be pleased to speak to you on the telephone, although due to the nature of the job, this may only be possible at certain times. If you ask to speak to a doctor, you will generally be asked to call back at a specified time. If the doctor is still not available, arrangements can be made for him/her to call you back.

Out of Hours Services
If you need to contact an emergency doctor during lunchtime or after the surgery has closed in the evening (6pm) or before 8.30 in the morning, or at weekends or on bank holidays, please call the surgery on 01892-863326. A recorded message will give details of the options available to you and the appropriate numbers to ring.

  • General health information and advice is also available by calling NHS Direct, a nurse-led, 24-hour service, on 0800-665544
  • In the event of an emergency, you should dial 999 and ask for an ambulance.
  • Accident & Emergency Unit: Kent & Sussex Hospital, Mount Ephraim Road, Tunbridge Wells (24-hour)
    Minor Injuries Unit: Crowborough

Groombridge and Hartfield Medical Group’s Virtual Patient Participation Group.
Thank you to all those patients who completed a survey form when they visited the Surgeries in early September. Results will be analysed and presented to the Practice within the next couple of months. Thanks also to those who have volunteered to take part in occasional consultations about health issues via our “Virtual” Patients Participation Group (PPG).  Anyone who has access to the internet and has an email address can join this group and when we are fully up and running you will be asked to give your point of view about developments at the Practice or wider issues that affect the health of our community.  To join just pick up a form at either of the Surgeries or email ghppg@hotmail.co.uk .

We would like to get the views of as wide a range of patients as possible and are looking at other ways to ensure that everyone can contribute to consultations, but in these early days we must ask that you have email. If you can spare some time to help develop the Groombridge and Hartfield PPG speak to Practice staff. There are monthly meetings and actions to complete in between.
