About the Playschool

Established in 1973 the community playschool is situated in the old railway station at the edge of the village. There is a wide range of play equipment for the children, plus an extensive lilbrary and undercover outdoor area and garden. In addition, there is computer equipment.

Our aim is to enhance the development and education of pre-school children in line with the Foundation Stage of the National Curriculum in a safe and happy environment where the emphasis is on learning through play.

The Playschool had an excellent combined Ofsted report last year, and liaise closely with the local primary schools.

Due to generous donations, there is a lot of new equipment and we are always looking for sponsorship or fundraising ideas to keep the group viable.

Open 9am - 3pm. Morning and afternoon sessions available. Age range 2 to 4 years and there are rising-five sessions in the summer term.

The Playschool is a registered Charity.
