Pavilion Project

The internal refurbishment of the Sports Pavilion continues with many improvements made, including new flooring, storage boxes, urinals, kitchen and a refurbished lavatory with wheelchair access. These improvements have been enjoyed and appreciated by users of the Pavilion, particularly the Sports Clubs. A new calor gas system was installed in 2010 to provide heating and hot water for the new showers and a new referee's shower has been built.

We were delighted to receive a grant of £6,000 from the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), which is funded by Defra and the EU and administered in East Sussex by the Wealden & Rother Rural (WARR) Partnership. This money was used to purchase new kitchen units and appliances and to refurbish the existing lavatory. The money also went towards a new intruder alarm system which has proved to be most effective.

Pavilion

The main improvement for 2012 was the replacement of the external windows which have improved safety, security and insulation. In 2013 the changing rooms have been redecorated thanks to the donation from the Village Fete Committee.

The Town Croft and Parish Assets Committee will continue to review plans to improve the pavilion for the sports clubs and community. The next target is a new roof and renewing external decorations.
