About Hartfield Parish

The rural parish includes Hartfield, Coleman's Hatch and Hammerwood & Holtye.

Hartfield is famous for being the home of A A Milne, author of the Winnie the Pooh books and the location for the "Poohsticks Bridge".

There is limited parking the village, with a provision for short term stays in the High Street. There are no car parks and the village is narrow and not suitable for coaches. The Anchor and Gallipot have private car parks for patrons only.

Subject to events and term times there can be parking near the Council Offices off Edenbridge Road TN7 4JG and at the car park in front of the school TN7 4AA.

In order to explore the area fully, we suggest driving to one of the many forest car parks, or starting with a visit to the Ashdown Forest Centre.
