On Friday, we were delighted to welcome Lord and Lady De La Warr on the Corner Field to plant a tree as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative commemorating the Queen’s Jubilee. The initiative is inviting people from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee” to enhance our environment and to benefit generations to come. Councillor Higgins had served on the parish council since 2009 and was highly regarded by all her fellow councillors, past and present.
